Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a work-based program that an organization provides its employees.
The program includes Fitness-for-Duty evaluations, brief mental health counseling, referral sources, on-site critical incident debriefing (e.g., death of an employee, workplace violence, suicide attempt or completion, or other emergency situation) and occupational consultation for management regarding employee and organizational challenges as well as risk management.
This service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Our EAP is unique, in that we match the employee to a provider instead of just booking an employee with the next available clinician. What this means, is that our providers each have specialties in certain areas of practice and are matched on these skill sets to enhance patient care.
Most therapeutic services are provided directly by GD Psych Services providers and not contracted out to a third-party agency (with the exception of medication evaluation/ management and hospitalization).
Organizational and Risk Management consultation, Fitness-for-Duty evaluation, Work-Life Seminars, Health and Wellness, Equine Team Building, and Employee and Management Skill Development workshops are also available.
