Military and Trauma Informed Treatment
GD Psych Services, LLC, specializes in offering therapy, medication management, and evaluation services for active duty, prior military, retired military, and veterans and their dependents. These services address specific mental health issues which typically impact military personnel and/or their families more commonly than the general populace.
Currently, DVS has provided funding for free mental health counseling services to all military types and their family who reside in Rio Rancho or Albuquerque. This funding expires in June 2025.
GD Psych Services, LLC, offers free consultation to military leadership, after hours crisis counseling, and crisis appointments during office hours for any military type and their families. We will not charge for crisis appointments and all mental health contacts will remain confidential and not shared with Commanders.
These include, but aren’t limited to: Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression, anxiety, Trauma-Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, substance abuse, and life transitions that come with retirement or discharge from service. Many of those who serve or served in the military have significantly higher incidence of having these health concerns due to the nature of their military service.
The fully trained and licensed staff at GD Psych Services, LLC specialize in veteran therapy to help patients with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), an anxiety issue that occurs after someone is exposed to a traumatic life experience or a mortally overwhelming event.
The counselors also help veterans that may have suffered sexual abuse or emotional abuse during their time in military service. Many active military personnel are also at risk for depression and anxiety, and the licensed counselors at GD Psych Services, LLC can help with ongoing service-related stress as well.
